The Internship
The data structures and algorithms of CGAL take user provided data as input. Mentored by a senior developer you will add support for domain specific file formats such as grids of vtk, image file formats for mesh generation algorithms (Nifti, Gis, vtk), and file formats used by geographical information systems (WKT, GML, GeoJSON). The goal is not necessarily to re-implement these readers/writers but to rely on existing software with a license compatible with CGAL.
The Candidate
Degree: BSc
Required Competences: vtk, C++, generic programming.

Helpful Compétences: Mastering English so that you can read manuals, and have a technical discussion with other developers in the CGAL project.
